EARLY YEARS TEACHING ASSISTANT ADVERT

The Head of School and the Executive Principal are seeking to appoint an Early Years Teaching Assistant at Churchfield CE Primary Academy to work in our Outstanding Early Years provision.

Children start their journey with us in our Little Scholars provision. This caters for our 2 year olds and prepares them for entry into our morning Nursery, where they learn as part of a mixed phased unit when opportunities arise, until they make the move up into our Reception class.  Children in receipt of 30 hours funding stay all day across the two provisions.  We have worked hard to create a family ethos, where the children feel safe and valued and were delighted to have been judged Outstanding by OFSTED in September 2023.

Initially this role will be a 21 hour/week position Grade 3 SCP 3-4 initially a fixed term contract until 31st July 2024.

Working hours will be:

Monday 9am – 12pm and 12:30pm – 3:30pm

Tuesday 12:30pm – 3:30pm

Wednesday 9am – 12pm and 12:30pm – 3:30pm

Thursday 12:30pm – 3:30pm

Friday 12:30pm – 3:30pm

This role will involve carrying out tasks as outlined in the job description. This is a term time appointment and the WTE is 37hrs.

Applicants must hold at least Supporting Teaching and Learning Level 2 (or equivalent) and must meet the DfE's criteria for counting in the Early Years foundation stage framework staff:child ratios.
