Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of ecologists to deliver high-quality ecological assessments, surveys, and reports.
- Manage and oversee multiple ecological projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance on environmental net gain strategies and land management practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
- Mentor and develop team members, fostering their professional growth and skill enhancement.
- Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in ecology and environmental management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in ecological consultancy or environmental management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Comprehensive understanding of environmental net gain principles, biodiversity conservation, and habitat management.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and manage competing priorities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in ecological assessments and data analysis.
- Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
