Job description

Our client, an award winning, global multidisciplinary environmental consultancy, is seeking a skilled and experienced Ecology Team Lead to join their passionate team. As a Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in managing and coordinating ecological projects while fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment. Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of ecologists to deliver high-quality ecological assessments, surveys, and reports.
  • Manage and oversee multiple ecological projects simultaneously, ensuring adherence to deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on environmental net gain strategies and land management practices.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, clients, and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering their professional growth and skill enhancement.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in ecology and environmental management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in ecological consultancy or environmental management, with at least 5 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Comprehensive understanding of environmental net gain principles, biodiversity conservation, and habitat management.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, allocate resources effectively, and manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and tools used in ecological assessments and data analysis.
  • Full driving license and willingness to travel to project sites as required.
