- Grade 6: £36,648 - £40,221 per annum
- 37 hours (Monday - Friday), open to Job Share

As the EDI Officer, you will be coordinating and delivering our client's EDI programme to help them as they strive to deliver an outstanding service to their communities. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage key performance indicators for the EDI agenda and maintain assurance against the Public Sector Equality Duty
- Support the implementation and monitoring of EDI policies and practices
- Provide advice and support to managers on EDI issues
- Facilitate consultation events with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining our links with other organisations and developing partnerships with local, regional and national partners
- Promote the Fire and Rescue Service as an employer of choice and aid in the development of the Service's workforce diversity plan
- Plan and deliver EDI training courses to the Service
Experience / Qualifications:
- Experience working in a customer facing environment, running projects and providing EDI advice to colleagues and managers
- Ability to undertake equality impact assessments and produce complex written reports
- Experience developing and writing EDI policies
- Strong written and verbal communications skills which you can utilise to speak to a variety of different audiences and provide training to staff
- Knowledge and experience using MS Office applications
- Up to date knowledge of the Equality Act 2010 and other related legislation
- Have a degree (or other equivalent qualification or experience)
