John Smeaton Academy in partnership with Leeds Safe Taskforce are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic Education Inclusion Mentor to join our academy. This is an exciting new initiative to support young people at Risk of Serious Youth Violence.
SAFE Taskforces bring together schools and partners to Support young people with challenging behaviour, enabling them to Attend school regularly so they can Fulfil their potential and prevent costly poor life outcomes by inspiring them to Exceed their expectations.
As part of the team delivering this innovative intervention, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate that they have the ability to work flexibly, and at pace to meet appropriate deadlines with independence and be enthusiastic about working with a wide range of professional partners to bring about whole system change.
The ideal applicant will have:
• Experience of Working with or caring for children of relevant age.
• The ability to relate well to children and adults.
• The skills to adapt to different abilities, key stages, subjects and situations.

About us:
John Smeaton Academy was the subject of a divestment order from the Secretary of State and became a part of The GORSE Academies Trust on 1 September 2021. Since this date the academy has undergone a significant transformation that sees it rising in popularity within the local community.
