Role Responsibility
Fair Access are recruiting a full time (37 hours a week) Administration Assistant due to expansion of the service.
The Education Programme is an interim service providing bespoke tuition packages to children and young people in Key Stages 1-4 in a variety of localities throughout Kent. These CYP are without a school place due to exclusions; or will have Special Educational Needs (SEND) and an EHC Plan, who are awaiting a place at a named specialist provision. The vulnerable learners accessing the programme require one to one support in preparation for the identified onward education provision.
The team will operate a hybrid work model that includes a mix of being based out of Invicta House in Maidstone and working from home. Due to the demands of the job, including your induction period, there will be times where working from the office is necessary, so being able to get to Maidstone for a 9am start is a must.
You will work under the Education Programme Manager. The role would be 9am - 5pm Monday to Friday.
You will provide administrative support to the Education Programme team to assist in the smooth running of the service on a day-to-day basis.
To be considered for this role, candidates should be highly organised, have sound knowledge of IT, including analysing data and running reports. Experience of administrative duties relating to finances, including buying and invoicing would be beneficial.
Candidates will possess excellent communication and listening skills and understand the importance of maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. To provide excellent customer service they will be self-motivated, and able to demonstrate an ability to work under pressure, as consistently meeting deadlines is essential.
We are seeking candidates who are reliable, empathetic, pro-active, with a ‘can-do’ approach who can effectively manage the pressures within the Education Programme team, rising to the daily challenges of supporting and championing vulnerable learners.
The Education Programme maintains a CPD programme for the whole team.
A half day virtual group assessment activity will be held in the week beginning 27th May 2024. This will be followed by a face-to-face interview by individual invitation later in the week
