iO Associates have partnered with a leading technology & engineering company working within National Security and Defence consulting, developing novel products that solve real world problems in mission-critical environments.

We are looking to speak to experienced Data Scientists holding active, enhanced DV (UK*C) at all levels who would like to join our client at an exciting time of growth.

The successful candidate will be confident harnessing machine learning & analysing vast quantities of data, as well as skilled in Python or a similar programming language.

What you’ll be working on:

• Analysing large data sets, identifying patterns, producing useful statistical outputs & furthering the customer’s understanding of the data.
• Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams, including delivery teams, to manage risks and timelines
• Support on bids and proposals where needed.
• Explaining findings and data analytics to a range of stakeholders.
• Leadership of technical teams & ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

Skills you will need:

• The ability to design and build data platforms.
• Data visualisation skills.
• At least one programming language e.g. Java, Python, JavaScript
• Cloud technologies & DevOps techniques.
• Sound knowledge of Machine Learning – developing & maintaining models.
• Agile Software Development experience.
• Natural Language Processing techniques.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
