Introduction
Our client is a leading Defence company who are supporting the MOD in their strategic analysis on a maritime programme.
The role is responsible for leading a team developing and operating business critical programme analytic capabilities and delivering analytic outputs for all levels of management.
This is a really exciting opportunity, working in a newly formed team which has been established to develop and operate these analytic concepts, techniques, and tools and to deliver analytic conclusion into the business!
The role will lead a team of 4 analytic staff so leadership experience is essential.
Working Pattern:3 – 4 days per week on site.
Key responsibilities
- Leadership of direct team and wider stakeholders to deliver analysis and conclusions.
- The conceptual development of data management, analytics, and analytic outputs.
- Proactive leadership of stakeholder engagement and facilitation across the business and client organisation to ensure organisation collaboration and agreement.
- Develop analysis scenarios/options and business conclusions.
- Accountable for gathering, establishing, and maintaining coherent and validated master data and information that underpins the analytic process.
- Develop optimal concepts and solutions for reporting analytic outputs for all levels and types of stakeholders.
- Support junior members of the team with professional development and career management.
Skills & experience
- Experienced in complex modelling, data analysis and associated supporting tools/techniques.
- A strong sense of ownership and responsibility for the timeliness, quality, and validity of outputs.
- Experience management diverse direct or indirect teams to deliver outputs to senior stakeholders.
- Relevant degree.
- Excellent team working and willing to proactively engage the wider business to support outputs.
- Experience and modelling software languages such as Python or R.
- Skills in utilising the power of MS Excel with visual basic.
- Some database and/ or software development and/ or software integration experience would be helpful.
- Experience developing SQL and Power BI outputs is desirable.
