Your mission in Eviosys
The EHS Manager is responsible for providing environmental, health and safety guidance throughout the Newcastle plant, working with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance, implement good manufacturing and continuous improvement practices, and ensure EHS is a value-added part of the overall business.
Main Responsibilities
- Drive the EHS Roadmap to provide the optimum safe and healthy working environment for the site
- Achieve and report all EHS-related KPIs / budgets on a weekly and monthly basis
- Actively promote best practice, liaising closely with other sites, EHS staff and external regulatory bodies, in order to maintain compliance and remain abreast of legislative changes
- Develop a proactive EHS culture onsite, ensuring line managers are supported and their knowledge/skills developed as required
- Manage all aspects of accident and incident investigation onsite, further developing systems for appropriate data/evidence management and completing subsequent actions
- Facilitate the training of line managers and employees in all mandatory EHS-related areas
- Be the point of contact for relevant external bodies such as insurance companies or the local authority
- Advise the management team on aspects of good environmental management / industry best practices whilst advancing existing site projects in accordance with ISO 14001 or 45001 standards
About you
You are an experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Manager of 3 years or more, educated to degree level with further professional qualifications such as the NEBOSH Diploma (or above) in Health and Safety. Ideally we are looking for someone with the proven ability to perform in this role on a manufacturing site, and who is a strong and positive leader in this field. Computer literate with a great knowledge of Microsoft software is also advantageous.
Salary - £47,000 p.a. plus performance-related bonus scheme
