Your new role
We are looking for an Environmental, Health and Safety Officer who will provide the company with all the EHS procedures and policies, correct training and updates to deliver best practice across the business. You will meet all EHS legal obligations on behalf of the company, report all accidents/incidents to the HSA and any environmental spill or incident to the EPA as per their guidelines. You will have overall ownership of the investigation and appropriate close outs of all incidents accidents and near misses and be responsible for all EHS risk assessments being carried out and maintained. Mon - Thurs 8.30am - 5pm and Fri 7am - 2pm. Some flexibility with the working hrs

What you'll need to succeed
Ideally you will have a Degree or Diploma in Health, Safety and Environment, certificate Environmental sciences or technical sciences, Train the trainer and ISO 14001 & ISO 45001(Desirable). We would like 3+ years EHS experience working in a manufacturing environment or high risk industry in particular confined spaces welding VOCs and working knowledge of Lean 6 Sigma. Proven experience of managing serious incidents/accidents and knowledge of Occupational Health physiotherapy and ergonomics would be good. You will have excellent analytical skills and familiar with excel/google sheets/risk management systems and familiarity with all types of risk assessment. The successful person will have strong project management skills, critical thinking and decision making abilities.
