Residential Care Officer Level 2 Here at Lincolnshire County Council we are dedicated to providing exceptional care for children and young people and we work hard to create a nurturing and supportive environment in all of our Children's Homes. As a Local Authority our Children's Services has been rated as Outstanding overall by Ofsted. We take pride in our team's work and our Residential Team are looking for experienced individuals who are ready for additional responsibilities to join us as Residential Care Officers (Level 2). About the Role As a Residential Care Officer (Level 2), not only will you work directly with our amazing children and young people but you'll also supervise other Carer's, lead shifts, develop projects and mentor new staff. You'll be preparing our young people for independant living, manage household tasks and maintain resilient relationships with our stakeholders. You'll work a shift pattern including evenings, weekends and nights. A 'sleeping in' payment of £40.76 is paid for each shift you sleep in, mileage is paid at 45p per mile, overtime is paid at time and a half and there is free parking at all our homes. We currently have vacancies for Residential Care Officers (Level 2) in the following Homes: Eastgate in Sleaford and Robin House and Strut House in Lincoln. About the Homes Eastgate's Homes Manager Kelsie says: 'Eastgate is a home built on trust and love, that enables our young people to thrive with us. At Eastgate we support the children to do all the things you would in your family home - attend education, cook a homemade meal, watch a movie, or spend the day out together! Our carers are warm, supportive and compassionate about their role. I couldn't imagine working anywhere else!' Our Interim Homes Manager Heidi describes Strut House: 'Strut House strives to work to a high standard, creatively supporting young people's hopes, aspirations, and dreams. No two days are the same with over 50 young people accessing short breaks at Strut House. As part of the Strut House Team, you will be actively involved in creatively planning and facilitating activities and outings to build and develop strong and positive relationships with our young people. This can range from activities within the home; baking, story time, arts and craft, sensory play, soft play, to outings in the local community; play parks, cafes, shops, historic places of interest and even the seaside.' Helen our Homes Manager at Robin House says: Robin House is a new therapeutic children's home in the heart of Lincoln. Our home provides care, love and support for up to 4 children and aims to support pathways of reunification to family or foster care. The children and the team are heavily supported by the Complex Needs Service to support the therapeutic thread that run through the home. We are proud of the home we have created and are seeking passionate, caring individuals to join us in making lifelong memories for our children.
