Our client in Manchester is currently on the lookout for an eLearning Support Officer to join their team where you support central support services in the development of innovative, e-learning activities, resources and support. In addition to this you will develop e-learning materials in support of projects which enhance the student experience and maintain overall responsibility for the online element of the Library’s skills programme. In addition to this you will participate as a member of the Library’s Teaching, Learning and Students team, including involvement in projects, team meetings and communications.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Contribute to an environment that values and celebrates the diverse nature of the organisations population and to take positive steps to achieve equality in the workplace
- Assist the eLearning Technologist(s) in the planning, design and development of high quality eLearning resources
- Provide advice, guidance and demonstrations to staff on the opportunities for using technology in teaching, learning and assessment
- Support the work of the Teaching Learning and Students team in delivering a high quality, customer-focused service and assist with effective communication
- Responsible for compliance with and the embedding of University policies, procedures and requirements
The following skills and experience will be beneficial for this role:
- Experience of developing learning materials/activities
- Broad understanding of the process of planning, designing, developing, testing and evaluating eLearning resources
- Comfortable working collaboratively with subject matter experts and other members of staff to deliver eLearning resources, materials and support
- Proven initiative and judgement to resolve daily problems independently or with the support of members of the team
- Knowledge of HTML and CSS
- Experience of working on eLearning projects and delivering successful outcomes.
- Experience of using software/web applications/technology for learning.
