Salary: £22,053.46 - £23,294.46 per annum
Duration: Temporary until 31 March 2025

Role Purpose
An exciting opportunity has arisen to assist the Electoral Registration Officer in the run up to the next UK Parliamentary General election.
You will be assisting with Electoral Registration applications, absent vote, and Voter Authority Certificate applications, as well as providing advice, guidance and assistance to potential electors.
There will also be the opportunity to assist in the delivery of Electoral Registration public awareness campaigns and events to increase registration levels on the Register of Electors.
Essential
Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Word & Excel
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
Able to work to deadlines
Able to provide advice and guidance to members of the public
Ability to maintain quality and effectiveness when experiencing changes in assigned tasks, work environment, or conditions affecting the organisation
An awareness of Health & Safety issues Ability to ensure confidentiality and to comply with Data Protection principles
A current driving licence and use of a vehicle is an essential requirement of this post. * If you have a disability which precludes you from holding a drivers licence, Scottish Borders Council will take into account its responsibility to make reasonable adjustments to allow for your disability.
