Introduction
Due to the nature of the work you will be undertaking in this role you will be required to work onsite 100% of the time.
My client is a large defence and engineering research consultancy who are delivering electronic warfare projects to the MOD and other government clients.
They are looking for an Electronic Design Engineer to apply knowledge of Def Stans and safety standards to the design and implementation of both analogue and digital circuits.
Key responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and implement digital and analogue electronic circuits and systems.
- Define project requirements and specifications, with a strong emphasis on electronic warfare requirements.
- Conduct hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of digital and analogue designs.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Participate in design reviews and provide valuable input to enhance project outcomes.
- Document design specifications, test plans, and results for reference and compliance.
Skills & experience
- Ideally holding a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in digital and analogue electronic design
- Knowledge of analogue circuit design
- Knowledge/use of digital design tools (e.g., PCB CAD Spice simulation, HyperLynx signal integrity, Altium).
- Experience with hardware verification and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with defence industry standards, security protocols, and electronic warfare principles.
