Owen Daniels Consultancy has engaged with a key client and an established Design andManufacturing company providing a wide range of services to the Electrical industry, and high-profile clients. Due to team & project growth an opportunity has arisen for an Electrical Design Engineer to join on a permanent basis.
The Electrical Design Engineer will be required to support the engineering team with the design of electrical equipment for a range of industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate design criteria and aid the engineering team in addressing technical aspects, including material specifications.
- Generate design calculations and associated documentation for manufacturing.
- Create and authorize drawings, Bills of Materials, and other design documentation required for equipment production.
- Perform technical inquiries, establish, and refine design and support protocols, conduct root cause analyses, and initiate corrective measures as needed.
- Offer technical assistance to Production, Sales, Service, and Customer Support departments.
- Interpret and implement applicable design, regulatory, and industry standards
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Design, ideally with a focus on medium and high voltage systems.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering.
- Proficiency in designing in compliance with standards such as IEC 60204 and IEC 61439.
- Familiarity with the product CE marking process and DFMEA.
- A high level of competency with Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical is required.
- Familiarity with CAD software such as Autodesk Inventor, Creo, or Siemens is advantageous.
