Location: Leicester, Leicestershire

Salary: £35k - £50k + Excellent Benefits

Working Hours: 37.75 hours per week

The Client:

Our client is a well-established manufacturer firm, specialising in electrical resistors for power generation, high and medium voltage distribution.

The Role:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will oversee the creation and approval of drawings, Bills of Materials, and other design outputs.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with the engineering team to review design requirements and guide the technical specifications & materials selection.
- Prepare and validate design calculations, documentation needed for manufacturing.
- Engage in technical evaluations, enhance design and support processes, and conduct root cause analysis to implement necessary adjustments.
- Offer ongoing technical assistance to the production, sales, service, and customer support departments.
- Ensure project delivery within the set timelines and budgets, effectively managing multiple high-priority projects.

Requirements:

- Previous experience working as an Electrical Design Engineer or in a similar role.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Design work, preferably with medium and high voltage systems.
- Solid understanding and application experience of IEC 60204, IEC 61439, and involvement in the CE marking process and DFMEA.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Skilled in using Autodesk AutoCAD Electrical.
- Familiarity with Autodesk Inventor, Creo, or Siemens would be beneficial.

Shifts:

- Monday - Thursday: 8:15 - 17:00
- Friday: 8:15 - 13:00
