Working Hours: 40 per week
Monday - Thursday 07:30-16:30/ 08:30- 17:30.
Friday 7:30- 13:30
For the last 3 decades our client has designed and manufactured some of the worlds most reliable and versatile powder filling machinery in the world. They manufacture semi and fully automated filling machines which are built to facilitate the demands of some of the largest companies within the FMCG and Pharmaceutical industries. Our client has an impressive and excellent reputation of designing machinery to maximize performance, reduce waste, and limit operation and maintenance costs.
They are looking for an ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER to join them as they are expanding their team.
Requirements
- Ensure the electrical aspects of the machines are designed to the highest standard, within budget and within the requested time frame.
- Ensure internal customers are kept up to date with ELECTRICAL DESIGN aspects.
- Generate project specific Electrical Schematics, Line layouts, Test Documentation, Safety Documentation & Inspection Documents.
- Specify electrical components from customer user requirements for use on projects.
- Generate wiring diagrams & cabinet layouts using Electrical CAD Software. (Solidworks Electrical)
- Generate BOM's using an ERP system.
- Develop, test, and evaluate theoretical designs.
- Consider the implications of issues such as cost, safety & time constraints in all designs.
- Ensure the quality of work generated reaches the required standard.
- Provide technical telephone support for customers.
- Provide support off site to resolve customer's technical issues.
Responsibility 1 - Electrical Design:
- Ensure the Electrical Design is carried out in a cohesive manner with a singular purpose of ensuring the electrical aspect of the machines are designed to assigned budgeted hours, at the required quality and by the required date.
- Work together & communicate with other departments to ensure their needs are met.
Responsibility 2 - Electrical Assembly:
- Remotely assist in the manufacturing of the end products.
- Provide electrical technical assistance as required.
In addition to this we are expecting the individual to be looking at ways to improve the business, both from within your own function and that of others and assist in taking responsibility for identifying and championing new ideas.
What we are expecting you can bring to the table
- Good PC skills - Word, Excel, etc. Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Good time management skills, able to prioritise work accordingly.
- Understanding of relevant global technical Standards
- Ability to design electrical Schematics using an Electrical CAD Package
