Pure are delighted to be partnering with a leading specialist in Electrical Engineering and maintenance of LV & HV power systems. They have been established for over 50 years, and work with a wide range of blue chip organisations, utility companies, and facilities groups amongst many others.
The company has experienced continued success and year-on-year growth. Due to this success, they are expanding and seeking experienced Electrical Engineers on a permanent basis.
Reporting into the Contracts Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring client requirements are met, all paperwork is technically sound and accurate and that onsite works are completed to quality standards, ensuring the necessary dedicated labour revenue, efficiency & profit targets are met, whilst adhering to H&S principles and manage the team onsite, from delegation of tasks to performance & conduct issues to training & development needs
Other key duties of your role will include;
- Lead the planning, organising, technical sign off and operational delivery of assigned works.
- Manage staff performance & behaviour in your charge.
- Manage the onsite customer experience.
- Assist clients and the CRS with any technical queries and issues.
- Undertake site surveys at client request in accordance to RFQ procedure, collating all necessary information & feeding back to the CRS.
- Assist the CRS by technically signing off dedicated clients quotes, and work RAMS, where necessary, in a timely manner.
- Assist the CRS in dealing with client queries, revisions and amendments in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage your time on site and delegate where necessary to allow for technical support for the client and CRS when needed.
- Ensure works are planned & organised in a timely manner & team are fully prepared for works, including client & subcontractor liaison.
- Liaise with CRS and organise the pick up and drop off of any materials, equipment etc, delegating to team members where applicable.
- Plan, manage and oversee successful and efficient execution of works.
- Undertake & manage all Electrical Engineering works specific to project / site / client including but not limited to: Switching / Protection Testing / Commissioning / Fault Finding / Fault Diagnostics / Relay Installations.
- Ensure Toolbox Talks are delivered and on-site safety assessments are undertaken and briefed to the working party.
- Work to RAMS, problem solving on-site with client if deviations are absolutely necessary.
- Set the team to work, following necessary health and safety practices and clear delegation of team workload.
- Ensure all works are carried out in a safe, correct and cost effective manner.
- Ensure operational staff comply with all policies and procedures.
- Comply with Health & Safety Policy and procedures and assist to achieve a safe-system-of work.
- Adhere to and abide by Electrical Safety Rules, ensuring staff compliance.
- Ensure the effective management of all suppliers, subcontractors and materials.
- Liaise with clients onsite to ensure works are communicated, requirements are met and any adjustments are recorded and costs passed on.
- Liaise with the CRS if any amendments were made on-site and ensure any additional costs are passed on.
- Ensure all paperwork is collated from the onsite team and is accurate to ensure prompt delivery to the client.
- Ensure all defects are highlighted & sent to the CRS using the appropriate systems for a quick turnaround, offering technical support where needed.
- Participate in job reviews to identify strengths and potential improvements to improve quality and profitability.
- Attend and successfully complete any identified training courses.
- Available for call out duty when required.
You will also be able to read and write English to an acceptable level in order to effectively complete reports, and be able to use IT software packages. You will have a full UK drivers licence, and be willing to undertake any relevant training offered to upskill.
