What this job involves:
We are currently seeking an Apprentice Electrical Engineer to join our team in London. This apprenticeship program offers a unique opportunity for individuals to gain practical experience and expand their knowledge in the field of Electrical Engineering on a four-year program. Under the guidance of experienced professionals, the apprentice will support various Electrical Engineering projects across our portfolio of commercial real estate properties whilst working towards becoming a qualified electrician.
The role will require 4 days per week in our offices and one day per week at Newham college. You will work towards the Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician qualification.
What your day-to-day will look like:
Assist electrical engineers with the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems in commercial buildings.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including routine inspections and testing of electrical equipment.
Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and recommend appropriate solutions.
Read and interpret electrical drawings, diagrams, and blueprints.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in Electrical Engineering and recommend process improvements.

20% off-the-job training – As an apprentice, you will receive time to study with your training provider, typically one day each week. This time will involve online learning, joining webinars, and completing assignments
Dress for your day – Each day will be different, so we trust you to dress according to what you’re doing. For example, if you’re meeting clients then it’s important to dress smartly to reflect the great work we do, and we encourage you dress more casually when you don’t.

Required Skills and Experience:
GCSE English – minimum grade C/4 and Maths –a minimum of a strong grade B/6 or equivalent OR if you have already completed a L2 Electrical qualification we can accept a Grade C/4 in Maths.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Basic computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Health and safety-conscious mindset.
Right to work in the UK:
You will need to have permanent right to work in the UK, with no time restrictions or limited working hours. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor visas, including Graduate Visas beyond the programme
