Position Overview:
As an Electrical Estimator at Pulse Electrix Ltd, you'll play a pivotal role in our pre-construction process by accurately assessing the costs associated with electrical projects. Working closely with project managers, engineers, and clients, you'll develop meticulous estimates that align with project requirements and financial parameters. The ideal candidate will possess keen analytical skills, attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and construction methodologies across both domestic and commercial settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze project specifications, drawings, and related documentation to ascertain project scope and requirements.
- Conduct thorough on-site evaluations and assessments to gather essential information for precise cost estimation.
- Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for electrical materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Utilize cutting-edge estimating software and tools to perform accurate quantity takeoffs and cost calculations.
- Collaborate effectively with internal teams to identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving alternatives.
- Present estimates to clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders, addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, and material pricing to ensure competitiveness and accuracy in estimates.
- Participate actively in bid reviews, negotiations, and contract award processes.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Proven track record as an Electrical Estimator in the construction industry, with a minimum of 1 years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
- Sound knowledge of electrical systems, codes, standards, and construction practices in both domestic and commercial installations.
- Familiarity with estimating software such as Accubid, McCormick, or similar platforms.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Professional certifications such as the latest BS7671 are advantageous.

Salary: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
