Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer
Southampton location + hybrid working
6-month contract / Outside IR35
Rate £45.00 - £50.00p/h DOE
Chemical / Process / EC&I / Amtech / AutoCAD
I am currently recruiting on behalf of a key client based in the South, who are specialists in engineering projects within the chemical, O&G & process industries. They are looking for an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer from a design and project background, on an initial 6-month contract, to support a key project.
The successful Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer will be required to conduct the following duties:
- Design and detailing using AutoCAD & Amtech
- Cable sizing calcs etc
- Support client reviews of Electrical and Instrumentation Engineering deliverables
- Oversee & coordinate the project deliverables in line with defined and approved requirements
- Support client tendering, estimating and procurement processes
- Provide E & I technical support & knowledge to ensure standards are met
The successful Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer will need to have the following attributes:
- Preferably Educated to HND/Degree level in Electrical or Process (EC&I) Engineering
- Demonstrating relevant practical experience
- Experience in Electrical / Instrumentation Engineering
- Commercial project experience
- Ability to check technical designs to specification
- Experience in managing safety instrumented systems is preferred
- A high level of communication skills (verbal and written)
