Salary - £52,713.46 per annum + annual bonus (up to 8%) + Overtime at 2.0x Basic rate + Veolia benefits - Potential of £60,000+

Hours - Full time, 4 days on, 6 days off. Shift work - Days and Nights.

This position is suited to an individual that is looking to develop their electrical and Instrumentation skills within our High Temperature Incineration Plant.

What will you be doing?
- Carrying out repairs, calibrations, planned and breakdown maintenance activities on a variety of plant equipment including process monitoring transducers, automated equipment, emissions monitoring equipment, PLC / DCS, motors, inverters and burners.
- Testing and maintenance of SIS systems and ATEX equipment.
- Fault diagnosis and resolution of Electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Calibration of site instrumentation equipment.
- Installation & commissioning of minor E&I projects.
- Maintaining records of all EC&I equipment, maintenance and calibration using the Computerised Maintenance Management System or other appropriate means.
- Reporting, diagnosing and rectifying plant defects and proposing improvements where appropriate.
- Liaising with operations staff and other maintenance staff as appropriate.
- Maintaining all work areas in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
- Carrying out duties associated with company Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Procedures, including audits as appropriate
- Carrying out other duties within the scope and spirit of the job as instructed by Management
- Safe isolation of electrical and instrumentation equipment in line with permit to work requirements.
What are we looking for?
- A time served Engineer with an Electrical, Control and Instrumentation background.
- Minimum of 3 years experience gained in a continuous process or heavy industry is essential.
- Qualified to HNC or equivalent/higher in a relevant Engineering discipline but must have knowledge of EC&I.
- NVQ Level 3 equivalent or higher practical qualification in electrical, controls or instrumentation maintenance.
- Good working knowledge of maintenance and fault finding techniques associated with control systems, pneumatic and hydraulic transducers and instrumentation.
- Ability to work autonomously and without supervision.
- DSEAR / ATEX knowledge (Dangerous Substances and Explosive Atmospheres Regulations / ATmospheres EXplosible)
- Knowledge of Functional safety and SIL systems.
- Experience of calibrating instruments using a Beamex or similar multifunction calibrator.
- Current CompEx EX01-04 qualification is desirable.
- BS7671 18th edition IET wiring regulations qualification is desirable.
- Experience of switching and maintenance of High Voltage switchgear and equipment is desirable.
- Experience working with Siemens S7/PCS7 software is desirable.
- Computer literacy skills are essential.
- Able to work a continuous shift rota that includes some weekend working to give overall maintenance cover 365 days per year.
