Electrical Service Engineer

Contek Recruitment are currently working with a a leading manufacturer, specializing in the production, servicing, and installation of special purpose machinery, including deburring and surface finishing equipment, along with machinery such as shot blasters, water treatment, and other automated machinery.
Our client service a wide range of industries, including Aerospace, Medical, Automotive, Hospitality, and General Engineering. Our client are headquartered in Tile Hill, Coventry in the West Midlands.
Position Overview:
Due to company growth, our client are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Service Engineer to join their growing team. The role would primarily involve the testing and fault finding on a range of special purpose machinery.
NOTE: This role would be based at the company facility in Tile Hill, Coventry, however there would be the odd occasion where you would be required to travel to customer sites to service the machinery.
Key Responsibilities:

• Electrical fitting of special-purpose industrial machinery.
• Fault finding.
• Testing of machinery, using multimeters. 
• Assembly of parts and components to be fitted onto different types of machinery.
• Monitoring equipment and machinery performance and developing preventative maintenance measures.
• Delivering demonstrations to ensure that customers are educated on safe and effective equipment use.
• Leading the installation, commissioning and training of machines with customers (On site or at customer site).
• Building pneumatic circuits.
• Writing reports, manuals and presenting findings to Managers and Supervisors on a regular basis.
• Supporting the manufacturing team with assembly and testing of machines which includes fitting, use of hand tools.
• Main point of contact for troubleshooting customer machines and providing advice.
• Ability to offer remote and onsite technical electrical support/diagnostics.

Requirements:

• Strong electrical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair a range of machinery.
• Proficiency in reading technical drawings, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Willingness to travel frequently to customer sites for installations and maintenance work (on average once per week)
• Detail-oriented approach to documentation and record-keeping.
• Prior experience in a customer-facing role and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
