Job Title: Electrical Shift Maintenance Technician
Location: Cramlington, Northumberland
Responsibilities:
- Work autonomously with dayshift support – Dayshift Technicians and Mechanical Fitters.
- Undertake reactive breakdown diagnosis and repair.
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities as per maintenance schedules.
- Act as the single point of contact for all Maintenance plant and equipment issues based on a continental shift pattern
- Participate in project work, including installing and commissioning new equipment, machine modifications, improvement works,
- Participate in Lean/Six Sigma continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain equipment logs and shift handovers.
- Work with the computerised maintenance management system and Maintenance of work records.
- Coordinate with sub-contractors
- Implement Permit to Work System
- Ensure safe isolation of plant and equipment.
Required Skills/Strengths:
- Time served Electrically biased Technician
- Experience in PLC’s HMI/MMI, particularly Allen Bradley, with a solid ability to interrogate PLC coding
- Experience in AC and DC variable speed drives
- Experience in working in Hazardous areas is preferable
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ideally, a minimum of an HNC (or equivalent) in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Work under pressure and often on their own
