Salary - £41,200 plus £900 Shift Allowance
Working hours: 7-7 shifts, Panama 2's and 3's - 1 in 3 are nights rest are days

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Electrical Shift Technician is responsible for making sure production equipment is operating efficiently and company facilities are maintained to company standards.
Our client is looking for an Electrical Shift Technician who is always looking to continuously improve processes and process technologies, develop further technical knowledge and take every opportunity to participate in growing and developing a personal skillset.
Duties and responsibilities of the Electrical Shift Technician include:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on gearboxes, motors, inverter drives PLCs, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines, following diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer’s instructions and engineering specifications.
- Locates the source of problems by observing mechanical and electrical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing equipment.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices using hand and power tools, cranes and hoists.
- Controls downtime by informing production managers and workers of routine preventative maintenance techniques.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level anticipating the need for replacement equipment, parts and supplies, contacting suppliers placing orders and verifying receipt.
- Carries out project work ensuring tight deadlines are met.
- Prepares mechanical and electrical maintenance reports by collecting, analysing and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending training courses and reviewing technical publications.
- Responsible for station lockout/tag-out procedures as mandated by company policy.
- To mentor apprentices.
We would be keen to speak with Electrical Shift Technicians with the following experience:
- Electrically Qualified
- Knowledge of Applicable laws, codes, regulations, policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of extrusion machinery.
- PLC's S7 Siemens, Allen Bradley
- General knowledge of inputs and outputs
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise work to minimise machine downtime.
- Work well as a team or as an individual.
