Job Description
- Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components in industrial equipment and vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal efficiency and safety.
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical diagrams and technical manuals.
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
- Advise management on whether continued operation of equipment could be hazardous.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and management.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures in the workplace.
- Continually update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Electrical Technician should have:
- A recognised qualification in Auto Electrical or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the industrial / manufacturing industry.
- Excellent knowledge of electrical systems in industrial vehicles and equipment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive approach to work, with a can-do attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
