The Role
The Electrical Working Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and supervising electrical projects and maintenance works. This individual is responsible for leading a team of electricians, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and coordinating with other departments to achieve project goals. The Electrical Supervisor is expected to have a strong electrical background, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to solve complex electrical issues.
Specifically, you will:
* Lead, motivate, and manage a team of electricians to ensure deadlines are met and quality is achieved.
* Provide guidance and direction to team members for successful project execution.
* Conduct regular team meetings to discuss project updates, safety measures, and address concerns.
* Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment
* Inspect electrical components to identify issues and determine necessary repairs
* Test electrical systems and circuits to ensure proper functioning
* Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide effective solutions
* Follow safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes and regulations
* Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time
* Enforce and promote strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on job sites.
* Conduct safety meetings and training sessions to educate team members about best practices and potential hazards.
* Allocate tasks and responsibilities among team members based on their expertise and workload.
* Arrange labour and materials to complete the project on time and within budget
* Quoting small works as required and supporting contract manager on larger quotes
* Working closely with contract manager to ensure RAM's are created for each job
About You
To join us as an Electrical Supervisor, you will need:
* Level 3 C&G Qualified
* 2391 Test & Inspection qualified
* Proven experience as an electrician or Electrical Supervisor.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and components.
* Familiarity with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
* Driving licence essential
* Ability to update inhouse computer systems
* Ability to work in various physical situations and be able to lift and carry heavy equipment and materials.
* Comfortable working in various environments, including exposure to heights and confined spaces.
