Job Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and qualified Electrical Supervisor to join our team at a leading Mechanical & Engineering Contractor based in Cambridge. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating electrical installation and maintenance projects. The ideal candidate should be 18th Edition qualified and possess strong leadership and technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervision and Coordination: Manage and supervise electrical installation and maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project timelines.
Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of electricians, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient and effective project delivery.
Quality Assurance: Ensure that all electrical work meets the required quality standards and complies with relevant regulations, including the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Safety Compliance: Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures, promoting a safe working environment for the team.
Communication: Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the course of the projects, ensuring minimal impact on timelines and quality.
Documentation: Keep accurate records of project activities, including progress reports, safety inspections, and any necessary documentation required for compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
18th Edition Wiring Regulations: Must be qualified and up-to-date with the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
Previous Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role within the electrical field, demonstrating effective leadership and coordination skills.
Technical Proficiency: Strong technical knowledge and skills in electrical installation and maintenance.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with team members, clients, and other stakeholders.
Problem-Solving: A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
