Electrical Maintenance Technician / Based in Eye, Suffolk / Up to GBP42,313 Depending On Experience / Monday to Friday The successful candidate must be experienced in Electrical Controls & Instrumentation but my client would also like them to be mechanically biased as well. You will be reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the focus of the technician will be to undertake routine and non routine maintenance work to ensure the reliability, availability so that the output of the plant and equipment are achieved.SalaryUp to GBP42,313 per annumHoursMonday to Friday 8am till 4pmThis position has an On-Call requirement. You will be included in a four-week rotation call out rota to be first line cover for any breakdown on site, day or night, for a seven-day period, which will be paid .Duties include, but are not limited to: Execute routine and non-routine maintenance activities; including repairs and monitoring various plant machines including generator, control panels etc. Investigate plant problems and identify solutions; including all machinery such as turbines and power generators. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical equipment, including generators, transformers, switch gear, control panels, and various monitoring systems. Conduct diagnostic tests to identify electrical issues, interpret results, and take correct actions to minimise downtime and ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and rectify electrical faults in a timely manner Maintain work and activity records. Supervise contracted personnel as directed by your line manager. Communicate and encourage good working relationships within the team. Have the full understanding of cost implications and power generation with you areas of work. Adhere to the SHE Management System at all times.The successful candidate: A high level of technical plant awareness Excellent problem solving skills, together with experience of safe systems of work. Ideally you will have a 'time served' apprenticeship, with a minimum of 5 years power generation/utility experience and ONC or equivalent qualification.
