Electrician

Our client is looking for an experienced Electrician.  Based on site at their Cheshire HQ, your role will involve travel to other sites throughout the UK and therefore applicants must be prepared to stay away from home as and when required.

The following responsibilities will be an indication of the scope of work that will be involved, and it will be reviewed on progression and skill base on a regular basis:

• Undertake all Electrical works in accordance with current legislation and agreed scope of works.
• Undertake all works in a safe manner whilst adhering to company and industry Health and Safety requirements.
• To install LV wiring systems.
• To undertake the installation of AGL systems.
• Maintain a good knowledge of Health, Safety and Quality Management.

Experience of:

• Working effectively in an Installation Electrician’s role for at least 3 years.
• Working in a continuous improvement culture.
• Collating and presenting accurate information in a timely manner.
• Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal/external training customers.

Skills:

• Experience of installing LV wiring systems.
• Experience of installing containment.
• Able to communicate effectively with good presentation skills.
• Ability to plan and coordinate effectively.

Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental:

• Taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by what you do or what you fail to do.
• Co-operate with your line manager on QHSE matters.
• Correctly using work equipment, personal protective equipment in accordance with training and instructions provided.
• Not interfere with or misuse anything provided for QHSE purposes.
• Report QHSE hazards, accidents, incidents, near misses, spillages, illness and diseases to your line manager.
• Complete an induction at the commencement of employment that includes QHSE.
• Receive, read and understand the contents of the Employee Handbook and other guidance documents provided as part of your induction.

Salary:

Electrician  £37500 - £46800 per annum

Approved Electrician  £41766-£52208 per annum

Hours:

Generally 10hr days/nights
