Fairhive is a non-profit affordable housing provider with ambition. We already provide affordable housing to more than 20,000 people in our community but we want to do more. That’s why we are striving to provide 1,000 additional homes by 2025.
Our trades team play a vital role in the provision of our services from repairing and maintaining existing housing stock to managing environmental improvements to provide more families in our community with a home.
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Electricians to join our team and to help us achieve our social mission.
You will primarily working on the stat services & reactive maintenance team covering the South of our region that includes Slough, Wycombe along with our traditional areas including Aylesbury and the surrounding areas. We are looking for a team player that is focused on ensuring electrical compliance & safety within Fairhive properties.
On the Job you will:
- Complete day to day electrical repairs / maintenance
- Complete Eicr's along with any remedial works
- Complete all certification applicable to the task via hand held PDA
- Work with other teams within the business
- Carryout kitchen & bathroom upgrades as required
About You
We’re looking for someone who understands how important it is to have a safe place we can call home and who is motivated to support the local community.
For this role you will need:
- C&G Level 3 / NVQ in Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition qualified
- C&G 2391 Level 3 in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations or equivalent
- Experience of completing electrical works within domestic properties.
- A great time keeper with attention to detail on works completed
- Motivated and committed to improve our Housing portfolio
You will ideally have skills and attributes that include:
- good communication skills,
- the ability to work as a part of a multi-disciplined team,
- Be able to prioritise work loads to meet deadlines
- practical problem solving skills
