WGM Engineering have an excellent opportunity for an Electrician to join our Engineering solution division on a permanent basis covering various sites throughout the Central belt of Scotland. The role will be responsible for leading planned and reactive sitework, safe removal, installation and commissioning of rotational equipment.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Carryout planned installations and maintenance on pumps, motors and other rotating equipment
- Demonstrate an understanding of current electrical regulations to BS7671
- Deliver electrical isolations and process instructions in accordance with the WGM electrical safety rules(ESR)
- Complete required NICEIC Certification
- Swiftly and comprehensively fault find and rectify problems on a variety of electrical issues that may arise
- Deliver electrical compliance to the standard identified within the electrical specifications for waste water(WIMES)
- Respond to reactive callouts, working alongside our mechanical engineers to investigate, rectify and solve
- Deliver work schedules and look a-head information across each work front.
- Interpret RAMS and prepare daily briefings
- Lead and deliver jobs ensuring sites are left safe .
- Attend sites where required to fully scope the Safety and Engineering aspects of each required task. Convert the information into useable formats for Estimating purposes.
- Create technical reports and Quality Plans
- Carry out any other task as requested within the skill set.
To be considered for this position you will have at least 2-3 years previous experience electrical experience ideally within an engineering background, the ideal candidate will have excellent technical skills and the ability to work as part of team as well and on your own initiative. Relevant electrical qualification or HND is required for the role as well as being qualified to 18th edition wiring regulations.
