Role: senior electronics engineer
Location: Silverstone, Northants, UK – onsite role

We are looking for a firmware and software engineers to join our senior engineering team.
The role will mainly be office based at our Silverstone offices, in the superb countryside in a region with a long-standing history of leading-edge technology, from telecommunications to motorsport. From here we work with our clients throughout the country and beyond, to deliver technology solutions and great service.

Key Tasks:
• Work with the engineering team to assist with designing firmware, software and electronics
• Be one of the technical experts to help guide a growing team of engineers
• Work with the senior team to help develop and improve company engineering processes
• Develop proposals for work with clients
• Develop relationships with new and existing clients and help to scope future work
• Develop training material for the engineering team
• Assist with training the engineering team to instil best practices and develop new skills
• Proactively shape and lead internal R&D to actively help our clients’ potential future projects
Technical strengths in at least one of the following:
• At least 10 years of industry experience
• Firmware design and coding in C/C++ for 8bit to 32bit microcontrollers
• Experience with using ARM processors, CMSIS libraries, RTOS and Keil IDE/compiler
• Experience in unit testing on embedded systems
• Experience in camera and video streaming and processing
• Embedded Linux application development with QT, with Linux kernel configuration, Jetson, GPU, U-Boot and rootfs
• Experience of developing for safety or reliability critical applications would be preferable
• Experience and understanding of hardware interfaces such as WiFi, USB, Bluetooth and Ethernet would be preferable
• Product verification and approvals would be preferable
- A good general electronics knowledge and experience is necessary
- Competency in maths and English is essential
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent Must have a car and clean driving licence
