Responsibilities
- Carry out the onsite repair, fault-finding and calibration of sophisticated microprocessor based electronic equipment.
- Carry out emergency repairs across the UK and Europe as required.
- Making travel arrangements to planned or reactive maintenance activities.
- Support new/existing projects, carrying out repairs, rebuilds and upgrades as required.
- Assist both internal and external customers with any issues relating to the above systems.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance and Operations to improve vehicle practices through completing agreed development projects.
- Record and report any faults discovered whilst carrying out maintenance duties through the Maintenance Management System and to your line manager.
- Carry out required action to resolve all faults discovered to ensure correct operation, safety and reliability.
- Carry out all responsibilities to required legislative standards in line with the safety critical nature of the role.
- Continually maintain knowledge on new products applicable to own area.
Essentials
- HNC or equivalent, level qualification in the field of Electronics
- Ability to correctly read and understand Electronic Circuit Diagrams
- Experience of Maintaining / Calibrating / Repairing Electronic Systems.
- Previous Experience in developing LabView applications
- Previous Experience with Mitsubishi PLCs
- Working knowledge of Microprocessor Systems (ARM / PIC / Arduino).
