You ll be joining a well–established engineering solutions business within a stable and supportive environment based at their headquarters in Melbourne, Derbyshire
You ll require the following essentials to be considered for this position:
NVQ or equivalent in Mechanical EngineeringCurrent or recent experience in the servicing of engines or compressorsExcellent organisational, time management and communication skillsElectrical and/or pneumatic experience an advantageDriving Licence as you ll need to travel to attend customer sites in the UK for servicing and breakdowns As Mechanical Maintenance Engineer you ll be undertaking service and repair maintenance on dustless blasting equipment, compressors and air breathing units.
Candidates must have a solid background within the industrial mechanical sector and should possess good fault finding skills, together with an ability to work with a high degree of independence. Some experience of compressors is preferred although full training will be provided.
Within this position, you ll also be carrying out the following duties:
Fault finding across different machinery across the industrial mechanical sectorWorking largely in the head office servicing and repairing machineryAttending customer sites in the UK for servicing and breakdownsAssisting other members of the team with specialist projects
Salary Information & Working Hours
GBP25,000 per annum, subject to experience41 hour week plus over time as requiredFully stocked service van and fuel cardUniform providedUp to 20 days of annual holiday allowance (increase of 1 day per year served up to 27 days) plus 8 bank holidaysCompany closure between Christmas and New YearEarly finish Fridays (subject to workload)Workplace pension scheme
