Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Day Shift

Location: Chesterfield

Salary: £46,000 per annum + Bonus + Overtime

We are recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Engineer for a successful manufacturing business in Chesterfield. As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for planned and reactive maintenance activities at a busy manufacturing plant.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct Mechanical Maintenance, service, and repair of automated plant equipment.
• Perform hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding and repairs.
• Undertake cooling plant maintenance.
• Utilise tool room equipment for machining new or replacement parts.
• Basic welding and fabrication tasks.
• Candidate Requirements:

Experience:

• Trained Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with a background in heavy industry manufacturing (e.g., waste & recycling, steel, quarry & aggregates, mining, or foundry sectors).
• Experience in maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum NVQ3 (or time served) in mechanical engineering.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.

Working Hours: 12-hour day shifts (Panama Shift)
