Join us as a part of our manufacturing team, helping to supply the PCB assemblies that drive our award-winning range of Processing and Measurement equipment, used in Laboratories all around the world. With the flexibility of part-time hours during term time and exams and the option for full-time hours during holidays, this is an excellent opportunity for an undergraduate or post-graduate student to gain valuable industry experience at a fast-growing company in the scientific sector.
By applying your soldering skills and electronics knowledge, you will help us to build, inspect and test a diverse range of PCB assemblies, in time to meet the production demand of our manufacturing team. These assemblies would include power supply boards, motor and LED driver boards, among others. In doing so, you will form a key part of our effort to help students and scientists set up their experiments and quickly get started with their research without exhausting their limited budget on expensive lab equipment.
Working closely with the team in our unique open plan office and manufacturing space, you will be able to practice and improve your soldering skills, gain experience working in a rapidly growing SME, as well as making practical use of electronic theory to identify and rectify faults on defective PCB assemblies.

- Assisting with the inspection of PCB assemblies arriving from our suppliers and creating reports on any defective boards.
- Calibration and testing of PCB assemblies in accordance with Ossila’s set test procedures.
- Helping to maintain stock levels of associated electronic components, in order to meet wider production demand.
As you become proficient at these tasks, you will also gain the opportunity to receive additional training in the fault finding and rectification of defective PCB assemblies, as well as acquiring experience soldering more advanced SMD/SMT components.
