Job description

Some careers open more doors than others.

If you’re looking for a career that will unlock new opportunities, join HSBC and experience the possibilities. Whether you want a career that could take you to the top, or simply take you in an exciting new direction, HSBC offers opportunities, support and rewards that will take you further.

We have an excellent opportunity for an Employee Listening Consultant to join our growing Workforce Strategy & Insights team. You’ll help drive continuous listening activities such as employee lifecycle feedback, along with bespoke research to answer topical questions on issues ranging from the future of work to diversity and inclusion. A well-rounded research practitioner, you will be able to manage a listening project from end-to-end and be comfortable standing behind your findings while helping business users to turn your insights into action.

Human Resources leads the implementation of the Group’s people strategy in line with business objectives. We facilitate talent management, succession planning and employee mobility while defining and overseeing frameworks that support employee performance management, reward, learning and development, resourcing and engagement.

As an HSBC employee in the UK, you will have access to tailored professional development opportunities and a competitive pay and benefits package. This includes private healthcare for all UK-based employees, enhanced maternity and adoption pay and support when you return to work, and a contributory pension scheme with a generous employer contribution.

In this role you will:

•    Manage significant elements of the global Employee Listening programme to support HSBC’s people strategy, with a focus on employee lifecycle measurement surveys (new joiners, movers, leavers etc) and other global listening activities.
•    Manage a diverse range of stakeholders, including HR leaders and service owners, acting as a subject matter expert and trusted adviser on Employee Listening methodologies.
•    Work collaboratively across the Workforce Strategy and Insights team and with colleagues across the wider HR function to shape research and help inform strategy and policy.
•    Respond to the listening requirements of the organisation, translate these into clear plans and delivering these in partnership with HR and Technology colleagues.
•    Turn insight into action by connecting research findings to people priorities and presenting evidence-based recommendations informed by your work.

Request

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

•    Experience of working in employee experience or employee engagement research, or a closely related field (e.g. HR consultancy), either in-house or with an agency/vendor.
•    Able to coordinate an employee research project end-to-end, from scoping and design through to analysis and reporting.
•    Evidence of translating research data into tangible business insights.
•    The ability to confidently communicate research findings to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences.
•    Excellent stakeholder management skills and able to navigate complex organisations, different geographies, and markets.

This role is based in: London with hybrid working.
