As an Employee Relations Consultant, you will be joining a People team that is embedded in collaborative working. You will bring with you significant experience of Employee Relations, including managing complex investigations in a swift, fair and objective way.

We provide services from two main hospitals, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital, and a number of clinics across London and the South-East.

Both hospitals provide full clinical services, including full maternity, emergency and children’s, in addition to a range of community-based services across London, such as award-winning sexual health and HIV clinics.

Our facilities are some of the best in the country. We have been investing around £10 million a year in our estate. We are currently spending £25 million on expanding our adult and neonatal critical care facilities at Chelsea and Westminster and redevelopment of our children’s unit at West Middlesex – in partnership with our charity, CW+ and generous donors.
• Work autonomously as an expert, independent and impartial practitioner on complex and highly complex/multifaceted Employee Relations relevant to staff from all groups and levels within the organization in line with Trust policies and procedures.
• Support and develop an effective specialist advisory service across the range of Employee Relations matters ensuring the provision of professional, expert and technical guidance and support in line with policies and procedures.
• Facilitate and lead on complex Employee Relations cases, advising managers on best ER practice ensuring that advice given complies with good employment practice, employment legislation and Trust-wide standards.
• Advise on medical Employee Relations issues, ensuring that cases are managed in accordance with Maintaining High Professional Standards (MHPS) and Trust Policy.
• To support the Head of ER to put in place systems for the effective management of Employment Tribunal claims and requests for Employee Relations related information, including Freedom of Information requests.
• Support and advise team members with the investigation of complex disciplinary, grievance, sickness and performance cases – including the provision of casework supervision designed to encourage reflective practice and develop confidence in decision-making.
