As an Employee Relations Advisor, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive HR services to managers within our organisation. You’ll handle a case load of Employee Relations (ER) matters, ensuring compliance with employment policies, procedures, and relevant laws. This is an initial temporary contract until August 2024 with the potential for a further extension to a permanent contract. The role is office-based in Southampton Hampshire, working 37.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Employee Relations Support: Be the first point of contact for line managers dealing with ER issues. Provide proactive advice and guidance on a range of employer-relations case work, including grievance, disciplinary, performance, sickness, and absence matters.
- Transformation and Restructuring: Support managers during organizational changes, including transformation initiatives and restructuring processes.
- Manage an ER case load
- Trade Union Interaction: Collaborate with Trade Unions as necessary.
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyse employee data to inform ER decisions.
- HR Policy Communication: Communicate HR policies effectively to managers.
Qualifications and Experience
- Solid Employee Relations Experience: You should have a proven track record in handling ER matters.
- Public Sector Experience: Familiarity with public sector working is desirable.
- Change Management: Experience supporting managers during transformation and restructuring.
- Trade Union Interaction: Exposure to working with Trade Unions.
- HR Professional: Ideally, you are an experienced HR Advisor or HR professional.
