Employment Lawyer

A highly regarded full-service law firm are seeking a skilled and motivated Employment Solicitor to join their office in Southampton. You will be handing a mix of contentious and non-contentious and working primarily supporting Employer clients. Responsibilities * Providing expert advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of employment law issues. * Conducting negotiations, mediations and settlement discussions on behalf of clients. * Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation. * Advising on disciplinary and grievance matters, redundancy procedures and employment dismissals. * Staying up-to-date with changes in employment legislation and proactively advising clients on the implications for their business. Requirements * Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 2years' PQE in employment law. * Experience in handling both contentious and non-contentious employment law matters. * Solid understanding of UK employment legislation case law, and best practices. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide commercially-focused advice to clients. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders. * Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing priorities and meeting deadlines. * Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally. * Competent IT skills.
