Employment Officer

Shropshire Council’s Enable team provides an individualised bridge between employers and people who may need additional support to secure employment. The role of the Employment Officer is a challenging, varied and rewarding position.

We have a vacancy for 1 Employment Officer for the Restart Programme to support people with disabilities and complex barriers and the long term unemployed into employment. The successful applicant will provide support to clients, assess and review referrals to the service and advise on future employment and career options, liaise with employers and referring organisations, help with job searching and post-employment support. Facilitate and support customers both individually and in groups with their “Search for Work” and learning activities.
