SalaryDue to growth, a leading manufacturer has a new vacancy for a Purchasing Assistant to join the team. Working closely with the Procurement Director, you will support and focus on administration specific to commercial procurement to enable the overall organisation and effectiveness of the team. Salary: £ 28,000 – 32,000 p.a. plus benefits.

The Role
Expediting deliveries to ensure vendor deliveries adhere to project plans.
Raising purchase orders and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure orders are correct in terms of pricing, quantity, supporting documents and subsequent invoice are right first time.
Handling logistics requirements for inbound items from vendors and internal domestic requirements between manufacturing sites and testing facilities.
Work closely with Accounts Payable to resolve and avoid invoice discrepancies where possible.
Support buyers on pre and post negotiation preparations and implementation.
Prepare and own analytical reports on costs, service and other KPI metrics to allow accurate reporting.
Provide a high level of customer service to all internal stakeholders.
General departmental administrative support.
Manage selected vendors.
The Person
Experience of purchasing and/or associated administration processes.
Strong IT skills including Excel and PowerPoint experience in an administrative role.
Experience of building reports and presentations for senior stakeholders.
Knowledge of working with ERP software.
Accurate data entry and record keeping.
