Endoscopy Practitioner

Your new roleWe have an opportunity for an Endoscopy Practitioner to join their team of staff in the Endoscopy department. This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern. Role Responsibilities:

• Provide quality planned care across the endoscopy patient pathway, supporting and assisting the Endoscopy Practitioner Lead in managing and organising care provision within the endoscopy unit.
• Provide quality planned care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures within their own scope of practice.
• Participate in improving Essential Quality Requirements and Best Practice standards for flexible endoscopy services, including decontamination and clinical care.
• Develop and enhance personal skills and knowledge.

What you'll need to succeed

• Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration.
• Basic and advanced competence/qualification in Endoscopy Care and Decontamination.
• Operators Course in Endoscopy Decontamination.
• Teaching/Assessing/Mentorship qualifications.
• Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies (Care Quality Commission, GRS, JAG, HTM 01 -06).
• ILS.
• Maths, English GCSE at grades A to C or equivalent functional skills level 2 evidence.
• Essential endoscopy experience.
