Energy Engineer

MCS Group is delighted to be partnering with Translink for an exciting new permanent opportunity based in Belfast for an Energy Engineer.

About the role

The successful candidate will be taken on board to oversee the planning, organisation and delivery of Energy Management services and projects, with safety, commerciality, customer service and legislative compliance as key drivers.

This includes leading change and influencing employee behaviour in energy management best practice. Key to this will be to provide effective energy efficiency expertise and project management delivery in a technically complex environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide an energy management service with expert advice and guidance to Translink internal customers including Service Delivery Managers, Depot Engineers, Area Managers, Route Managers, and Executives.
• Develop a range of analytical studies to be able to provide accurate and timely periodical energy reports for electricity, gas, heating oil and water across the business and contribute to the Property Carbon Reduction Plan and Translink’s carbon action obligation.
• Apply tools and techniques for data analysis and data visualisation (including the use of business information tools) to summarise and present data and conclusions in the most appropriate format for users.

Essential Criteria

• Minimum of an HNC/HND, or equivalent qualification, in an energy or mechanical or electrical related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in either energy or mechanical/electrical building services or related experience.
• Experience of implementing an energy management strategy
• Experience in using MS Office 365 Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Experience of contract management
• A Full current Driving License
