What you'll be doing…
- Implement and execute clients' electricity and gas trading strategy.
- Manage and optimise the energy portfolio.
- Identify and manage risks related to trading activities, including price volatility and market liquidity.
- Build and maintain relationships with counterparties, TPIs, and other market participants.
- Conduct the tendering process for gas and electricity; produce analysis and recommendations.
- Ensure the accuracy of procurement reporting.
- Advise clients on the company's procurement services.
- Integrate and report on renewable assets and PPAs.
- Support senior team members in formulating strategy, pre-trade analysis, execution, post-trade analysis, allocations, and settlement across multiple strategies.
- Work collaboratively across departments to meet organisational and legal frameworks.
What I'm looking for…
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Graduate level in an analytical discipline (finance, maths, economics, science) or equivalent experience.
- Experience in trading or a front office role.
- Solid understanding of energy markets and trading activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised with good time management skills.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, Mac & Windows OS; advanced Excel and Python skills are a plus.
