Credit Risk Manager

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
I am working with a local client that is currently going from strength to strength, due to the growth across the company we are working together to appoint a experienced Credit Risk Manager.
Responsible for those quotes that pose higher risk and value, you will work with a small team of credit analysts overseeing the Credit Risk assessment process, developing risk management strategies, and ensuring the company's credit policies and procedures are adhered to.
This role requires a keen understanding of Credit Risk principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments.

Daily Duties:
- Conduct thorough Credit Risk assessments of new and existing clients.
- Analyse financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant data to evaluate credit worthiness.
- Develop and maintain Credit Risk models and scoring systems.
- Develop, implement, and update Credit Risk policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Monitor and report on the effectiveness of Credit Risk management strategies.
- Monitor the Credit Risk exposure of the company’s Portfolios
- Identify, measure, and manage Credit Risk concentrations.
- Recommend actions to mitigate Credit Risks and improve portfolio quality.
- Monitor credit Insurance positions to ensure cover is kept relevant.
- Credit Risk reports / assessments
- Presentation of findings to senior management / stakeholders
- Lead and mentor a team of credit analysts and risk management professionals.
- Provide training and development to enhance the team’s skills and knowledge.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and risk awareness
Desirable experience:
- Previous experience within a similar Credit Risk role
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to risk management
- Experience with Credit systems (Experian)
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
