About the role:
- £28,371 - £31,099 per annum
- Location: Larne
- Hours of Work: 37 hrs per week
- Duration: Temporary for 12 months with a possible extension

Working as part of the Regulatory Services team, you will ensure that service provision is customer focussed, innovative and best value for money. Duties will include:
- Enforce via both proactive and reactive measures, all relevant legislation, local Orders and bye-laws relating to dogs, litter, waste and local environmental quality matters.
- Contribute to effective liaison and partnership arrangements related to the functions of the department.
Criteria:
- Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English Language and Maths (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy
2 years' experience in a similar role, to include:
- Dealing with confrontational situations involving members of the general public
- Effective enforcement of legislation
- Drafting letters, statements and reports which are appropriate and fit for purpose
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and statutory obligations
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- A full current driving licence valid in the UK and access to a vehicle
- This post will require confident handling of dogs. Applicants must be willing to undertake appropriate training
