• £28,371 - £31,099 per annum

• Hours of Work: 37 hrs per week
• Duration: Temporary for 12 months with a possible extension

Working as part of the Regulatory Services team, you will ensure that service provision is customer focussed, innovative and best value for money. Duties will include:

• Enforce via both proactive and reactive measures, all relevant legislation, local Orders and bye-laws relating to dogs, litter, waste and local environmental quality matters.
• Contribute to effective liaison and partnership arrangements related to the functions of the department.

Criteria:

• Have a minimum of 5 GCSEs to include English Language and Maths (grade C or above) or equivalent qualifications to demonstrate literacy and numeracy

2 years' experience in a similar role, to include:

• Dealing with confrontational situations involving members of the general public
• Effective enforcement of legislation
• Drafting letters, statements and reports which are appropriate and fit for purpose
• Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and statutory obligations
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• A full current driving licence valid in the UK and access to a vehicle
• This post will require confident handling of dogs. Applicants must be willing to undertake appropriate training
