Collaborating with six Local Authorities—Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, Islington, and Westminster—we are dedicated to delivering short-stay accommodations and long-term support for individuals facing various challenges, such as those new to the streets, returners, individuals with no local connection, those with more complex needs, individuals with restricted eligibility, victims of modern slavery, and the work-ready cohort.
Situated across two buildings, our service is designed to provide exceptional accommodation and housing-related support for people with medium to high support needs. About the role:
As a Resettlement Worker at the North London Multi-Disciplinary Rough Sleeping Hub in Barnet, you will play a crucial part in supporting our clients through their transition from homelessness to sustainable tenancy. As a Resettlement Worker, your primary responsibility will be to coordinate appropriate move-on options for clients, ensuring that the necessary support structures are in place to facilitate successful tenancy sustainment.
To excel in this role, you should bring a wealth of experience in working with rough sleepers and vulnerable individuals within a housing setting or the ability to demonstrate transferable knowledge and skills in relation to homelessness and move-on pathways. Your strong communication skills will be essential for fostering effective and innovative partnerships with various stakeholders. A key aspect of this role involves advocating on behalf of clients, empowering them to navigate the complexities of resettlement.
In this fast-paced environment, your ability to thrive under pressure and stay outcome-focused will be critical. You will be actively involved in brokering new partnerships within the Private Rented Sector, in addition to cultivating and strengthening existing relationships. About you:
- You will have a strong understanding of how to coordinate move-on options for clients experiencing homelessness to ensure a smooth transition to sustainable housing.
- Demonstrated capability in building and maintaining strong partnerships with Private Rented Sector landlords, key organisations and stakeholders in the sector.
- A strong understanding of the needs and challenges facing those with a history of rough sleeping.
- Dedication to safeguarding vulnerable adults, ensuring the quality of risk management plans to reduce and manage risk, whilst creating opportunities to promote independence.
