We currently have anopening for an Apprentice 1st Line IT support Engineer based in Ross-on-Wye. It is anticipated that this apprenticeship will take 21 months to complete.
This role is theperfect fit if you are looking to make your first step into the IT world! Thisis suited to someone who has a keen interest in technology and ideally somecustomer service experience.
THE ROLE
This opportunity isto join us as an apprentice and to work towards completion of your Level 3 ITSolutions Technician qualification. Youcan find further details on the qualification here.
Your main duties willbe answering all incoming calls and emails, raising tickets to the correctpriority level, resolving each query within a timely manner, and supportingwith the new starter set up, including the setup of new IT equipment.

PGL Group supportsover 3000 IT users across all PGL group locations as well as customer facingsystems and infrastructure from its offices in Ross-on-Wye and Blackpool. The team strive to provide stable and secureIT services and support internal and external users with an excellent customerfocused approach.
Some occasional travel to other locations in the UK andEurope may be required. The successfulcandidate will be expected to participate in the on-call rota and help the teamwith out of hours patching and upgrade work when needed.
