Salary: G8 £34,834 - £39,186 per annum
Contract: Full-time, permanent
You will support the activities of the Traffic Management and Coordination Team during a period of significant transformation and regeneration of the borough.
The role will place particular emphasis on:
- Assisting with the regulation and control of temporary roadworks
- Assisting with the preparation and implementation of temporary and permanent Traffic Regulation Orders
- Assisting with the investigation and implementation of traffic and parking schemes
- Provision of Traffic Management advice in relation to the location of bus stops and shelters
- Management of applications for disabled bays on the public highway
- Management of applications for Scaffolding and skip licences
This is a specialist technical role that requires a high degree of interaction with the general public, local businesses, Councillors, Utility companies and Transport for the West Midlands.
The successful candidate will need to demonstrate relevant experience and a thorough understanding of Traffic Management techniques and associated legislation. The role will primarily be office based but there will also be a requirement to travel throughout the borough and attend meetings on site.
